Scope

Technical guidance grounded in current research

I take on a limited amount of work alongside my academic research. The common thread is applied mathematics: understanding a difficult model, choosing a sound computational method, or developing the knowledge needed to conduct independent research.

My strongest areas are inverse problems, numerical methods for differential equations, scientific machine learning, regularization, and computational imaging. The Research page gives a detailed account of my publications, projects, and current programme.

01

Specific scope

We define the question, intended outcome, and limits of the engagement before work begins.

02

Technical honesty

I work only where my mathematical and computational background is directly useful.

03

Independent thinking

Guidance is designed to strengthen your own analysis, implementation, and decision-making.

Process

A clear start before any commitment

  1. 01

    Share the context

Describe the problem, your current stage, and the outcome you need. A few precise sentences are usually enough.

  2. 02

    Discuss fit

We use a short introductory call to determine whether the topic fits my expertise and what form of support would be useful.

  3. 03

    Agree on the work

If we proceed, we define the scope, schedule, deliverables, and fee in writing before the engagement begins.

Contact

Start with a short conversation

The introductory call is free and takes 20 to 30 minutes. You can also email a concise description of your question if a call is not necessary.
